6 Months:

  • Start with rice cereal, vegetables, and fruits in any order
  • Wait at least 3 days after each new food before introducing another
  • Start with a few teaspoons once a day and then increase slowly to 4 times a day over several weeks


7-8 Months:

Meat, eggs, start juices with a cup


9-10 Months:

  • Try other cereals (wheat, oat)
  • Begin to decrease formula gradually so child is taking 16-20 ounces at one year
    of age


No milk products or raw honey before age 1 year old


12 Months:

Switch to whole cow’s milk


24 Months:

Switch to 2% cow’s milk
